From the Sellers: Back in December of 2006 my wife and I were looking for a cool place to spend the summer and escape the Southern Arizona heat. My brother-in-law spent most of his life in Alaska and let us know about a cabin for sale on the MacDonald Spit near Seldovia. We had been looking closer to home but when we saw pictures of this cabin we were attracted by the proximity to fishing, crabbing, clamming and the location right on the Kachemak Bay. We inspected it in January 2007 and spent the first summer deciding how we would improve it and make it our special place. The position of the cabin allows unobstructed views of the Cook Inlet, Kachemak Bay, Homer Spit and across the Inlet to the Alaska Range and Mount Iliamna and Redoubt. Here we are 16 years later and after many building projects, lots of fishing and smoking red salmon and enjoying the spectacular views of South Central Alaska we have decided its time to let someone else enjoy the cabin and move on to activities closer to our home in Arizona.
